Breakfast at the b&b

In a B&B, there are certain expectations that are part of the B&B spirit: good hospitality, a comfortable bed for a good night’s sleep, and of course breakfast to get a good start to the day.

We attach great importance to the quality of our breakfasts, which are copious, if not gourmet . . . and healthy, to set you up for your day discovering the Pays d’Auge region, whether you are headed to the country or to the sea.

We offer mainly “home-made” products (cake-bread such as the Cramique, which is a delicacy from northern France, cake, yogurt, jams, compotes, fruit, apple juice, hard-boiled eggs from our hens) and local products (bread from the Cambremer bakery, Normandy cheeses, Cambremer’s own Teurgoule rice pudding, honey).

And perhaps more importantly, breakfast is a special time for enjoying some peace and quiet with your loved one, or for talking to us about the excursions and activities you plan, about yourselves, us, others, life, in a word, a pleasant time of talking and sharing.

There is a wide choice of restaurants within a 15 mile (25 km) radius, and we can advise you based on your tastes: gourmet cuisine, local cuisine, classic French cuisine, exotic cuisine, creperies, sea foods and other specialities. We have had the hard job of testing a certain number of them. Our “selection list” is available in each room and we can send it to you before you arrive.

If you would rather stay in, we make available the breakfast room with some utensils: crockery, fridge, freezer, microwave, sink for the washing-up . . .

And if you’d like to eat outdoors, you can use the arbour or one of the outside tables.
